The Free Sample Requirement
The "free sample" requirement of our leads is very liberal. Once you have successfully established contact with the lead (i.e. you have reached them by telephone, or they have responded to your emails with enthusiasm), you should provide them with a product sample. Here are some products, along with price and ordering information from Herbalife, which you could consider using as your free sample.

Shipping Charges
Some distributors will want to charge a reasonable shipping charge. This is perfectly acceptable, although we do request that you try to ship the sample as inexpensively as possible, and only charge the customer actual shipping charges.
The Free Sample As A Marketing Tool
While you're discussing the free sample with the lead, this is a great opportunity to see if the customer is interested in acquiring additional product. Using these "upsell" opportunities can result in turning the "free sample" into an actual purchase.
Even if the lead is not interested in purchasing when you first make contact, don't forget to follow up with them after they've received their product to inquire about reordering.
